According to Cambridge dictionary :

a skilled activity in which something is made in a traditional way with the hands rather than being produced by machines in a factory, or an object made by such an activity.

Handicraft is about processing materials by hand with hand tools, which leads to making of making decorative things.. The models of the product are ancient, revised traditional or fashionable. Handicraft is influenced by region and tradition followed by the people.. Craftspeople, conjointly known as artisans, possess technical data of materials and work ways. They’re skilled employees whose profession relies on manual skills.

With their skills craftsmen transfer the material into decorative thing. Styles of the handicraft keep changing, with time. Most of the handicrafts are influenced by the nature and environment.
